The Process

Applying to the program requires a 2-step process:

  1. Click the APPLY button below and complete the application. There is a $100.00 application fee.
  2. Upload letter of interest and CV/resume

Upon submitting your application, you will receive confirmation instructions on completing the next step in the application process.

Criteria

Below is our admissions criteria:

  • New attorneys or attorneys making a career change
  • Law school program transcript – Resume/CV and cover letter
  • 2 Letters of Reference
  • Writing sample relevant to area of interest within intellectual property
  • Seeking only very serious candidates

The Interview Process

Interview Process:

  • Program Coordinator/Managing Attorney
  • Admissions Committee Member or Designee

What Happens After a Candidate Is Admitted?

Following admissions, there is a two-day orientation. Residents will be provided a program manual, assigned a mentor and workspace.  The program coordinator has discretion in assigning workspace.  Residents are assigned a schedule which incorporates the three program components:

  1. Mentorship
  2. Business Development
  3. Opportunities to Practice

Residents who successfully complete the program will be given the opportunity to stay on as mentors, as well and receive subsidized office space and the general amenities provided during their 9-month tenure.

Is There a Fee to Apply?

Yes, there is a $100.00 fee to process your application.  This fee is non-refundable.  However, if admitted, it will be applied towards the overall programming fee.
